Digital technologies have transformed every aspect of modern education, reshaping how students learn, teachers instruct, and institutions operate. From interactive online platforms to artificial intelligence-assisted assessment, technology offers unprecedented opportunities for improving access, engagement, and efficiency. Yet it also presents limitations-digital inequality, cognitive overload, and ethical concerns-that challenge educators worldwide. This article examines both the opportunities and the constraints of digital technologies in education, drawing on recent empirical research and theoretical models. It argues that sustainable educational innovation requires a balanced, inclusive, and pedagogically informed integration of technology rather than uncritical adoption.
