This paper examines the role of sociolinguistics and cultural background in the process of language acquisition. It demonstrates how societal elements, cultural expectations, and personal identity shape the way learners‘ approach and apply a new language. The research underlines the necessity of combining cultural sensitivity with linguistic skills to achieve meaningful interaction. It also addresses the difficulties learners encounter when cultural insight is insufficient. The primary goal of this study is to prove that mastering a language requires more than grammar and vocabulary; it demands an understanding of the traditions and social values connected to it.
