Annotatsiya
This article explores the essential communication behaviors that influence the success of group discussions in educational contexts-active listening, respect, turn-taking (management of interruptions), and body language. Drawing upon theories from communication studies, educational psychology, and classroom interaction research, it emphasizes how active listening fosters comprehension and participation, respect builds trust and inclusion, regulated turn-taking maintains discussion flow, and body language reinforces or undermines verbal communication. By examining empirical and theoretical perspectives, the article demonstrates that these components are interdependent and collectively shape students‘ engagement, collaboration, and critical thinking. The findings highlight that promoting respectful dialogue, minimizing disruptive interruptions, and increasing awareness of non-verbal cues can substantially enhance classroom discussions and cooperative learning outcomes.
