This article analyzes the issue of improving the methodological training of future primary school teachers in developing pupils’ communicative competencies from a scientific and pedagogical perspective. The article discusses the essence of communicative competence, its role in primary education, the didactic opportunities of teacher training, the communicative approach, interactive methods, types of speech activity, and assessment criteria. In addition, effective directions for developing pupils’ culture of communication are presented on the basis of the experiences of Finland, Singapore, the European Union, and the OECD. Based on the decrees and resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of education, as well as the scientific views of scholars, the article proposes recommendations for strengthening the methodological training of future teachers.
